How
to Join an Active Session |
|
|
|
CONNECTING YOUR FLIGHT SIM TO OUR MULTIPLAYER SESSIONS
These instructions are for joining our active sessions. You
will need a full working copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002,
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, or Microsoft Flight Simulator X and
TeamSpeak.
Always
join our sessions clear of all runways. Please join parked
at a designated parking assigned area or enroute at cruise altitude.
All
other locations on the ground and in the air must be pre-approved by
an air traffic controller before joining.
- Start
TeamSpeak. Join the
specified TeamSpeak Channel as listed on the calendar description
for the session or event you want to join.
The Calendar page will have specific TeamSpeak information for all
sessions. You may obtain the IP addresses in this connection guide
under IP Addresses and Connection Details.
- Session
Password. After
you have joined the correct TeamSpeak Channel you will find the flight
sim session password in the channel description area, write it down
for the next step.
- Start
Your Flight Simulator. Click "Multiplayer".
Click "Open Multiplayer Session"
- Enter
Your Callsign In The Player Name Area. Please
use realistic callsigns. A realistic callsign is defined as any
aircraft registry
number (Example: N3402C), or commercial airline flight number (Example:
UAL1220). If you wish to accumulate logged flight time on our website
the callsign you enter for this step should be exactly the same
as
the callsign
you signed
up with on
our website. If you want to fly in our session as Delta_1330 and you
signed up on our website as "Blue Eyes" you will not be
credited. To collect time you will need to create a new callsign
on the website to match your player name.
- Join
The Session. Click in the "IP Address" box, and
enter the IP of the server you wish to join. The game server IP addresses
are
available
on the IP
Addresses and Connection Details Page. You may
copy and paste the IP address from our website to your flight sim
by using "Ctrl+C
to Copy" and "Ctrl+V
to Paste". Please verify you are joining the correct IP and
click
"Search". After a few seconds you should see the session
show up in the "Sessions" box of the multiplayer screen.
If there is more than one session running choose the one you wish to
join by
left clicking with the mouse. Be sure to read the session comments.
- Enter
The Session Password. Click
Join and when asked enter the password you obtained from the channel
description in TeamSpeak.
- File A Flight Plan. Once
connected to both TeamSpeak and our session in Flight Simulator you
will need
to file a flight plan in our system. To file a flight
plan open the chat window in Microsoft Flight Simulator (Depress the "Enter" Key
it will automatically open). In the chat window enter your flight plan
as text.
Our system requires all flight plans to be filed
in the following manner.
